LAKE REGION BASKETBALL OFFICIALS ASSOCIATION
Welcome to Lake Region Basketball Officials Association (LRBOA). The purpose of this association is to improve, foster, and perpetuate competent officiating. while promoting better working conditions for our officials. All LRBOA Officials are sanctioned by the Florida High School Athletics Association, and have met all requirements necessary to officiate basketball, including passing the annual rules test. LRBOA Officials are taught and trained with rules application supported by the National Federation of High School Sports. Our mission is to train, equip, and release high quality officials in order to create the best atmosphere for Officials, Coaches, and players.
Board of Directors
Our association is governed by a Board of Directors, made up by a President, a Secretary, a Treasurer, and four At Large Board Members. The purpose of the Board is to advise, govern, oversee policy and procedures, and assist with the leadership and general promotion of LRBOA so as to support the association's mission and needs.
Each Board position has a term length of two years. Each position is voted on by the primary membership. Any primary member can run for the Board. Nominations can be made by any member. Elections are held at the end of each season with the positions up for election alternating.

LRBOA Committees
FHSAA requires that all local associations form the following five committees. Each committee is formed by the President, at the recommendation of the Board of Directors. Every member that shows interest in serving on a committee shall be considered. The committees are:
Evaluation Committee
Assignment Committee
Recommendation Committee
Grievance Committee
Training Committee
Each committee is formed prior to the start of the season in order to assure the committees preparation for the season at hand. A board member is set in as an overseer for each committee. This board memebr is not a voting committee member. He/she is to serve only as a liason between the board and the committee, and to assure the committee functionality and adherence to the duties set forth for the committee by the board.
